Crew Releases Date for Darcelle Interview

The Gracie Hansen Story documentary crew is scheduled to interview businessman and legendary Portland Drag Queen, Darcelle.  The crew will be in Portland January 23.

Darcelle was a good friend of Gracie Hansen's and still wears some of her clothes and jewelry during his performances.  We feel privileged to have the opportunity to record this aspect of Gracie's life in Portland.

I wanted to take a moment this holiday season and thank you for your past support of J. Arthur Sunday and his budding filmaking career.  This past year has been a very exciting one, as J. Arthur had his first short "Lure" shown at Local Sightings, and completed filming on "Feral Sex Workshop", which is currently in post production.  At the same time, J. Arthur has been laying the groundwork for his biggest project yet, The Gracie Hansen Story.  You may have heard of her work, as she created the Las Vegas style review at the '62 World's Fair in Seattle that "saved the fair from science!"

Yesterday, The Gracie Hansen Story was accepted by Kickstarter, the largest funding platform for creative projects.  Follow our blog posts to know when you can contribute directly to our production!

Ingeborg Reveals the Morton Follies

A gracious host and a skilled photographer, Ingeborg Kiser revealed to the documentary crew the skill of Gracie Hansen as a director and as a cultural icon on her way to the top.  Check out our slide show of some of the pictures from the Morton Follies.  This project has the second largest collection of the 1950's Morton Follies history known to exist.  All images photographed by Ingeborg Kiser.

This Saturday, director J.Arthur Sunday and the film/production crew will be in Morton, Washington interviewing photographer of the 1953-1959 Morton Follies, Ingeborg Kiser.  Ms. Kiser was also Gracie Hansen's portrait photographer.
